Glass House

I live in a glass house

I mean literally

I have hardly any walls

Just windows

Sometimes a bird flies against a window

And leaves a feather patterned smudge

Bounces off unconscious

I pick it up so the cat won’t get it

And wait until

The bird wakes up and flutters away

So my advice is

People who live in glass houses

Should buy a pair of binoculars

And a bird identification book

And be prepared to perform first aid

When needed.
