Not everyone has a darling
Granddaughter
Who dances her way through the world
Like a princess
Not everyone
Only the luckiest of
Grandmothers.
I throw kisses through the blue skies
To my darling
Granddaughter
Who plays among the daisies and the stars
Laughing as each kiss blossoms under her dancing feet.
A possum and a kitty and a skunk and a spider visited me last night
They send their love to you
The bobcat danced and waved its soft paws in the air
Singing to the princess far away.
The spider wove a soft hammock for the princess to sleep in
And the possum and the kitty sang a lullaby
To you, my darling princess granddaughter.
