Shopping

Okay, so I went to the store

Wearing a hospital grade

Mask and

Rubber gloves

I arrived early to avoid crowds

But so did everyone else

One old lady stood right next to me

I wanted to scream at her

Go away and don’t touch me

But I restrained myself

Just moved

I bought dried beans and rice

Five big bags full of food

And left with a sigh of relief

Took off my mask and gloves in the car

Rubbed my hands with sanitizer

And drove home

Where I will stay until I gather up enough courage

To shop again.
