Playing Solitaire

I am by myself

left husband

and cat home.

This is what I realize:

alone I use a broom

eat tuna fish on a muffin for dinner

walk on the beach and when I see a dog

I squat say good dog

make fond noises.

Alone I use one cup one bowl

one small plate

a fork a spoon.

Alone I wash my underpants in the sink

using a bar of soap.

At 4 in the afternoon I change

into pajamas

and watch television.

If it’s chilly I put a blanket over my legs.

Alone I lock my door.

Alone I am afraid.
